Comfort Is Our Mission
Although our business was officially established in 2014, that isn't the start of the Leatherneck story. Instead, it began in the U.S. Marine Corps, where Nick Leypoldt learned the values that shape our company to this day. As a Marine, Nick was taught to serve with integrity, compassion, and commitment, doing whatever was necessary to complete the mission.
In 2011, he and his family moved to Loveland and embarked on a new mission. Starting as a service technician, Nick worked his way through the HVAC industry to earn his National Standard Mechanical Master license. In April 2014, he launched his own business in order to spend more time with his wife and children. With a nod to his favorite moniker for Marines, Leatherneck Heating and Cooling was born.
We cannot thank you all enough for your support and trust over the years. Our family is so very grateful for each one of you. We are excited to continue to see our business grow.

Meet the Team
Leatherneck Heating and Cooling is a family business. Brock Leypoldt is Nick and Suzanne’s middle son. Brock graduated from Berthoud High School in May 2020. He completed his welding certification from Front Range Community College in May 2021 and became a full-time part of our team. You will currently see him on Residential and Commercial installs.
Hunter graduated from Berthoud Highschool in May 2018. Hunter is a close friend of our sons and after graduation took an interest in HVAC. Hunter joined our team in November 2018. He worked primarily on commercial installs at first. He is now our lead installer for Commercial and Residential installs. Hunter is an avid hunter and fishermen. If he is not working, you can usually find him on the lake. Here at Leatherneck Heating and Cooling we pride ourselves on treating our customers like family because we are family.
